In accordance with data protection law, we are responsible for making sure your personal information is kept secure, confidential and used only in the way you have been told it will be used. All researchers are trained with this in mind.
The information about you is kept very securely. Everybody associated with the study completes training around data and information protection before working with study data. Everyone signs forms to say that they will treat study data confidentially and any access to personal information will be restricted within the research team.
We use a secure online system called REDCap to store and manage the information we collect from different healthcare centres. Researchers are trained to enter data into the system. The system has strong security features to protect the data, and you can learn more about REDCap's security features at this link (REDCap Security Overview (kpco-ihr.org)), ensuring the protection of sensitive information from unauthorised access or interception.
